A caller who needs to make frequent long-distance calls must seriously consider using phone cards as they offer a number of advantages compared to the traditional phone services. Some of the reasons as to why phone cards are more convenient are listed as follows:

  • All phone cards provide long distance minutes to the caller which are based on the specific rates set by the service provider of the card. As and when the caller uses the card, the duration of the call in terms of usable minutes is deducted and recorded either on the card or the central computer through which the calls are routed. As a result, there is a clear record of how many minutes have been used up and how many remain which can be used up for future calls.
