“I Got A Phone Card; Now What?”

December 8th, 2009 admin

how to use phone cardsIf you have got a phone card, just start to make long distance calls and be assured it does not pinch your purse. It is no wonder you can save about 50% to 80% on your telephone bill.

Using this is very simple. Each card is assigned unique number. Whenever you want to make international call, just dial this unique number and you are connected to the toll free calling zone. Thereafter, all that you have to do is to dial the country code, area code and the required telephone number.

But, it would be difficult to remember all these numbers and you may be forced to refer your telephone diary whenever you have to make a call. To take you out of this embarrassing situation, calling companies have introduced what is known as PIN less dialing. In this system, you can register the frequently called numbers (including the country and area code) with the help line of the calling company. Whenever you want to call, you just dial your unique number; the helpline will take you to the list of telephone numbers you have registered with them. You can now select the telephone you want to contact. Now just press the ‘dial’ button of your mobile, you are connected to the required number. So, the calling is fast and there are no chances of wrong dialing.

Normally the cards are valid for a particular period of time. If you are nearing the deadline for utilizing the card, you purchase a new card from the same company and the balance in the old card gets transferred to the new card and so you save your money.
